Exam will be available in the afternoon on May 10, 2013. Description For qualified firefighters who wish to complete their fire safety inspector certification with a combination of concentrated class work and online learning.
REGISTER BY March 22. This class has been approved by the ODPS/Fire Training Committee to be delivered in this format exclusively by Bowling Green State University. The online section of the class will be taught March 25 - May 3 and the in-class portion is taught at BGSU during the week of May 6-10. You must successfully complete the online course work in order to progress to the in-class section. The State exam will be available in the afternoon of Friday, May 10.
Must be registered by March 22.
Special Requirements OAC 4765-11-14: Each student shall be certified as a firefighter under section 4765.55 of the Revised Code. Each student shall be employed by one of the following: A firefighting agency as defined in division (A)(5) of section 9.60 of the Revised Code; A private firefighting company as defined in division (A)(5) of section 9.60 of the Revised Code that is providing fire protection in accordance with division (B), (C), or (D) of section 9.60 of the Revised Code. Students must complete NIMS IS-100 and IS-700 prior to certification.
